On Friday 16 August the Friends of St. Tudno’s will be hosting a concert by Stuart Ironside at St. Tudno’s Church. The concert will be at 7.30 pm and entry will be £8.00 on the door, including tea / coffee and cakes during the interval. Stuart started his guitar studies at the age of 12 and has had tuition from some of today’s leading guitarists, completing his BMus at Cardiff University in 2018. Stuart is an experienced soloist and gained 1st place in Cardiff University Music Society’s Soloist Competition alongside the Prize for Continuing Musicians. As a composer, Stuart has had works premiered by Cardiff University Contemporary Music Group and Retorica Violins, among others. Stuart’s programme for the concert will be varied and include a wide range of musical styles, time periods and influences. This could include music from Baroque Germany and contemporary Britain, alongside pieces influenced by the language of jazz and the ancient traditions of West Africa. Stuart’s music combined with the atmosphere and acoustics of St. Tudno’s promises a wonderful evening – do come along.
