Llandudno Christmas Fayre will include stalls in Holy Trinity Church grounds and hall. There will be no parking in the Church grounds from 6.00 pm on Sunday, 10th until 8.00 am on Tuesday, 19th November. Anybody attending Church services will need to wear an armband. These and car parking passes for parking on the East side of the Church in Trinity Square will be available from the Wardens. The church will be open during the Fayre and we look forward to welcoming visitors. The Civic Service of Remembrance will be held at 9.45 am and will be followed by the parade to the Cenotaph. There will also be a Service of Eucharist with Remembrance at Holy Trinity at 11.25 am. At 3.00 pm there will be Junior Church activities in the church hall. The annual Service of Remembrance for local men killed during the Boer War will be held at 9.00 am. The service will include laying of wreaths at the Boer War Memorial in the churchyard. There will be a candlelit service of Carols for Advent at 3.00 pm and this will be followed by hot drinks and cakes. The annual services of Carols by Candlelight for Christmas will be on Sunday 22 December at 3.00, 4.30 and 6.00 pm. The Friends were blessed with beautiful weather for the autumn working party. The church was cleaned and benches were put away or moved off the grass for winter. A project of uncovering overgrown graves continued. The grass had been strimmed and the cut grass was raked and new compost heaps set up. Removing the grass is part of the management for wildlife, to reduce fertility and enable wildflowers to better compete with the grass. Lunch was enjoyed in the sunshine and drinks and cakes were provided during the day and also offered to visitors.
Holy Trinity was beautifully decorated for the Harvest Festival service. A collection of tins and packets of food was given to charities helping local people in need.
The date of St. Tudno’s Harvest Festival clashed with Wales Rally GB’s stage around Marine Drive, below the church. The service was therefore relocated to the Rectory. A collection of tins and packets of food was taken for Hope Restored, a charity helping the homeless in Llandudno.
Due to traffic problems anticipated in Llandudno due to Wales Rally GB, St. Tudno’s Harvest Festival Service will be held at The Rectory, Church Walks, Llandudno. The service will be at 12.00 noon and will as planned be followed with a bring-and-share lunch and the the Friends pf St. Tudno’s AGM at 2.30 pm.
