Harvest Thanksgiving was celebrated at Holy Trinity on 14 October and included a collection of tins and packets of food for Conwy Food Bank. The church was decorated with flowers and produce. […] Throughout November: First World War Commemoration (see previous post). Saturday 10 November, 9.00 am, Boer War Remembrance. Sunday 25 November, 11.00 am, Morning Service, followed by bring-and-share lunch at the Rectory. Sunday 23 December, 3.00 pm, 4.30 pm and 6.00 pm, Carols by Candlelight. To commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War a self-guided trail has been established in St. Tudno’s Churchyard on the Great Orme (please note this does not include the adjacent Great Orme Cemetery). The trail leads visitors around the graves of, and memorials to, those who fell in the […] The Friends of St. Tudno’s welcomed Year 5 from Ysgol San Sior to St. Tudno’s. The children explored the church and churchyard and enjoyed taking rubbings from grave stones. […] St. Tudno’s summer season ended with an afternoon service of Harvest Festival. During the service, gifts of tins and packets of food for Conwy Food Bank were brought to the altar. Refreshments were served after the service.
[…] The season of Pilgrim Prayers at St. Tudno’s finished at the end of September. The Prayers, by Jim Cotter, were said at midday every day except Sundays during August and September and were led mostly by volunteers. The Friends’ Eucharist was held at St. Tudno’s and was followed by the AGM at the Rectory. As this was the Friends’ 10th anniversary the afternoon tea after the AGM included a birthday cake and the afternoon finished with the annual slide show of events at St. Tudno’s.
[…] The final service of Compline by Candlelight for the season was held on 4 September. As the weather was rather inclement the “Open Air” Songs of Praise service was held in the church. Members of the congregation introduced favourite hymns which they had chosen. The Friends of St. Tudno’s arranged a concert by Delyth and Angharad Jenkins “DnA”, playing Celtic harp and fiddle, respectively. The concert was a great success and enjoyed by all who attended. The Friends served refreshments during the interval, while the audience had a chance to chat with the performers. […] |
