Cytûn Julian
Group
The Julian Group meets on the first
Tuesday of each month. We
meet at 10 am at Stella Maris. We are an ecumenical group which
practices shared silent prayer. Our meetings begin with a short
introduction given by a different member of the group each month, which
is designed to lead us into a time of silence. Each person
present uses the silence to pray in his her own way, but we are
conscious that our silence before God is a shared experience.
After the prayer time the leader for that month brings us out of
silence with a concluding prayer and then we enjoy a cup of tea or
coffee and a chat. Do join us, you would be most welcome and you
might discover a new dimension to your life of prayer.
The is one of a
network of similar groups meeting together throughout the country for
meditation named after the medieval mystic Julian of Norwich, groups
made up of Christians from various denominations and
backgrounds.
