News and information 2014

[January]   [March]  [August]  [November] [December]

Christmas and New Year greetings to all who have rung our bells during the year and to ringers everywhere.

Any visiting ringers are welcome to join us to ring for the Christmas Morning service - ringing starts at 10am, service at 10.30am.

December   The hand bell ringers have once again been out and about during December seasonally entertaining local groups. They also participated at the Parish Christmas Fair and at one of the two Carol Services at St Tudno's Church.

Saturday 22nd November.  The handbell ringers performed a selection of Christmas carols and other seasonal tunes outside Holy Trinity Church as part of the parish Christmas fair.  They then went to Gloddaeth United Church to play at their Christmas fair, too.

Friday 28 March. The Golden Wedding Anniversary of tower captain Stan Whittaker and his wife Jean. A quarter peal of Bob Triples was rung prior to the normal weekly practice, and the evening concluded with drinks and light refreshments. A very pleasant evening hopefully enjoyed by those who attended.

Saturday 11th January. The NWACBR (Gwynedd & West Clwyd Branch) held its Annual General Meeting at St David's Church, Bangor.  There was quite a good turnout on an occasion where most felt a tinge of sadness as the Church will close later this month.  Members enjoyed the ringing, a short service and an excellent tea.  At the subsequent AGM members re-appointed the officials so David Raggett (Llandudno), Chris Jackson (Bangor) and Stan Whittaker (Llandudno) continue as Ringing Master, Secretary, and Treasurer respectively
