November. We now hear that
Bangor's closure will be effective
towards the end of January. The Branch 2014 AGM has therefore been
re-arranged to take place at Bangor on Saturday 11th January.
October.
We are very saddened to hear that our ringing colleagues
at Bangor will lose their tower in 2014 as St David's Church is to
close. This at a time when a restoration of the tower and
re-furbishment of the bells was being considered. We extend an
invitation to any Bangor ringers to come and ring with us if they would
like to. Some already attend our Friday weekly practices and our first
Monday monthly sessions.
September.
The All Wales Striking Competition was
held on Saturday 28th September at Sully and Penarth. David Raggett
(one of our ringers, 4th from right on the picture below), was included
in the 8 bell North Wales Association band which was placed second,
with Llandaff & Monmouth taking the top spot.

The North Wales Association of Church Bell Ringers
(Gwynedd & West Clwyd Branch) Annual General Meeting was held at
Bodelwyddan. A good attendance for the ringing, service, tea and
meeting. David Ragget (Llandudno) continues as Ringing Master and Stan
Whittaker (Llandudno) as treasurer. The new secretary is Chris Jackson
(Bangor).
