On 13 January 2016 the parish donated the takings from Holy Trinity’s pay and display car park during Christmas week to three local charities, each charity receiving £633.

The parish is glad to be able to support these charities which do so much work in the local community.

Sandy Ackers said “CAIS is delighted and honoured to receive this support from the Parish of Llandudno, especially in a year which marks the 40th anniversary of our founding. From our base in Llandudno, our charitable mission now extends to helping many groups of disadvantaged people across North Wales. We are pleased to work with our neighbours at Holy Trinity Church on a number of projects and hope this relationship continues for many years to come. More details about our work can be found on the CAIS website.”

Gail Silver said “Aberconwy Mind is a local charity working to support people in Conwy County with Mental Health and Wellbeing in their daily lives through recovery and therapeutic work. We are responsible for raising our own funds here and do not receive any money from national Mind, so we are always very appreciative of donations and the money will go a long way as we make each penny count. Please see the Aberconwy Mind website for more information”

Phyllis Pearson passed on a message from the Tŷ Gobaith Area Fundraiser, saying “On behalf of the children and families that benefit from the special care at Tŷ Gobaith, we would like to thank the Llandudno Parish for their very kind donation, which will help local life-threatened and life-limited babies, children and young people.” The Tŷ Gobaith website gives full details.
