St. Tudno’s services and events, August 2019

Open Air Services will be held each Sunday at 12.00 noon and a free taxi will depart from Holy Trinity Church at 11.30 am. On Sunday 4th and Sunday 18th the service will include a simple celebration of Communion. If the weather is poor the services will be held in the church.

The annual Friends of St. Tudno’s Pilgrimage was held in the Harlech area. Travelling in cars, the 18 Pilgrims stopped at Plas Brondanw for coffee and to visit the gallery and garden. Wales in Bloom judging at St. Tudno’s, 9 July 2019

St. Tudno’s Churchyard is part of Llandudno in Bloom’s judging route for Wales in Bloom. The judge met some of the Friends of St. Tudno’s, who manage the churchyard, inspected the churchyard and was shown a display of “A year in the churchyard”. The display will remain in the church throughout the summer.

The Friends of St. Tudno’s held a working party after the open air service and performed various jobs to tidy the churchyard. Two of the Friends had already searched for and recovered a particular gravestone which had become lost under the grass.

The Holy Trinity Troughs Team entered the RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood scheme. The assessor met some of the team and learnt about their gardening at Holy Trinity. The team also entered Llandudno in Bloom.

It’s Your Neighbourhood judging at St. Tudnos, 2 July 2019

The Friends of St. Tudno’s entered the churchyard in the RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood scheme and the assessor visited St. Tudno’s to meet the Friends and view the churchyard.

Friends’ Pilgrimage “recce”, 29 June 2019

Members of the Friends’ Committee went on a “recce” to prepare for the Pilgrimage. This included sampling lunch at Y Maes Cafe at Llandanwg!
