As the weather was rather inclement the “Open Air” Songs of Praise service was held in the church. Members of the congregation introduced favourite hymns which they had chosen.

Congratulations to Holy Trinity and St. Tudno’s for wining awards for the churchyards. Holy Trinity has been awarded Gold* in the churches category in the Llandudno in Bloom competition. Members of the congregation and 1st Llandudno Guides have adopted troughs or planters around the church and worked hard to keep them […] The Wales in Bloom judge visited St. Tudno’s churchyard during his tour of Llandudno. The Friends of St. Tudno’s Church had just received a Communities Green Flag Award for their work in the churchyard and the judge, Mr. Jim Goodwin, raised the flag for the first time. […] The judges for the International Communities in Bloom competition visited St. Tudno’s churchyard as part of their tour of Llandudno. They learnt about the work of the Friends of St. Tudno’s in managing the churchyard for wildlife and saw a display in the church on “A year in the churchyard”. […] Archdeacon Mary led an open air service to celebrate the Great Get Together. Llandudno Town Council was represented by the Mayor and Mayoress of Llandudno, Cllr David and Mrs Amanda Hawkins and the congregation included parishioners, locals and visitors from outside the parish. The Pilgrims then climbed the Great Orme, with stops for further prayers and reflections. This part of the service is normally held in the church but this week as the weather was beautiful and not windy the Communion was celebrated in the open air (it is […] The season of Sunday morning open air services began at Pentecost on 20 May. A small group gathered at 8.00 am for the first Ascension Day service to be held at St. Tudno’s. It was a lovely, bright morning so despite the chilly wind the service was held in the open air.
The service was led by the Friends of St. Tudno’s Church and included a prayer walk around the churchyard in beautiful sunshine, with refreshments served afterwards. |
