We again took part in the national Great Get Together event, organised by the Jo Cox Foundation and inspired by her words “we have more in common than divides us”. There was a special open air service at 3.00 pm on Sunday 23 June, attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Llandudno. During the service, taken by Archdeacon Mary, everyone had a go at making a friendship bracelet to demonstrate how many different strands can be combined to make something beautiful. This also resulted in working together to learn how to do it! The service was followed by a bring-and-share picnic – which had almost finished before the rain began, when there was more working together to get everything inside!
